Life groups are the lifeblood of Renew Church, providing a place for discipleship, friendship, Bible discussion, prayer and evangelism.
In the book of Acts, the early believers gathered in houses, recognising the importance of the small group setting. Jesus himself said that where two or three are gathered, he is there in the midst, so as well as a larger gathering on Sundays, we very much encourage all members of Renew to be part of a life group.
Our life groups meet weekly, usually on Wednesdays. Some take place in houses, some in the church building in the centre of Uttoxeter and others in neutral public venues. We try and let each group decide where they would be best suited.
We have several life groups in operation, including three thriving youth and young adult groups, as well as our Connexions meeting for senior citizens which meets every other Friday at Renew and provides a free luncheon.
A typical life group will include a time of gathering and building friendships and discussion from a Christian and biblical perspective. A small group environment should encourage people to be open and transparent in regards to any personal needs and time is always given and set aside for prayer.
Life Groups aren’t exclusive to Renew members, so if you’re looking for a church near Uttoxeter or don’t feel comfortable attending a larger public gathering, why not get in touch and we’ll tell you which life group is best suited to you?
We look forward to seeing you there!
